Azores: 9 Days of Nature and Island Wonders

Day 1: Arrive in São Miguel Island (Ponta Delgada). Check into your hotel, explore the city’s charming old town, and enjoy a welcome dinner with Azorean specialties.

Day 2: Full-day tour of Sete Cidades. Visit the twin lakes (Blue and Green), walk to scenic viewpoints like Miradouro da Boca do Inferno, and stop at a pineapple plantation. Optional thermal bath stop at Ferraria.

Day 3: Explore the Lagoa do Fogo (Fire Lake) and Caldeira Velha. End the day with a visit to Ribeira Grande for local liqueur tasting and artisan shopping.

Day 4: Full-day Furnas tour. Visit Terra Nostra Botanical Garden, bathe in geothermal pools, and try the traditional Cozido das Furnas, slow-cooked in volcanic soil.

Day 5: Day trip to the islet of Vila Franca do Campo (seasonal). Swim in the natural volcanic crater lagoon and enjoy a beach picnic. Return to Ponta Delgada.

Day 6: Fly or ferry to Faial Island. Visit the Capelinhos Volcano Interpretation Center, walk the lunar-like landscape, and enjoy the harbor town of Horta.

Day 7: Day trip to Pico Island via ferry. Tour local vineyards built on black lava stone walls (UNESCO site), visit the whaling museum, and admire Mount Pico from scenic viewpoints.

Day 8: Relaxing day on Faial. Optional whale-watching excursion or beach time. Farewell dinner in Horta with ocean views.

Day 9: Return flight from Horta or São Miguel (depending on flight connections).
